Sharon Osbourne has revealed why she no longer speaks to Simon Cowell, despite previously labelling him a "close pal." Sharon, 71, famously appeared alongside Simon on The X Factor as a judge back in the 2000s, as well as fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Louis Walsh. However, despite appearing close on the singing show, Sharon now says she's no longer in contact with Simon. Discussing the music mogul, Sharon labelled him as "snotty", revealing that he did not speak to her or Louis ahead of their CBB stint.
She said: "He would not call Louis or I. He is very, what's the word? Snotty. Simon just is.
He has his little posse around him, the same people he's had for years, and that's who he talks to. "He's not really one of these guys who'll be like, 'Hey great. You've given us a call.
How are you doing? Yada, yada, yada. He's not one of those 'checking in' on friends to see if you're doing OK." Talking about the trio's past as close friends, Sharon continued: "We were, in the beginning, the three of us, really close friends. But then he kind of left our group and went on.
But no, he's weird as far as friends go. Very, very closed off." Sharon's stint on CBB is proving rather unique as she is appearing as a special guest and will only be in the house for five days.
This decision was made amid rumours that ITV couldn't afford to keep the star for a longer period. However, a spokesperson for Sharon dismissed claims that she was earning £100,000 a day for her brief appearance, labelling them 'not true.' Earlier this week, a source told the Mirror that Sharon had struck a 'special deal' with the show's bosses because she didn't want to commit to the entire run of the show.
