Raye, a London-born music sensation, made history at the Brit Awards by scooping up six awards - the most any artist has won in a single year. Her record "My 21st Century Blues" clinched album of the year.
Not only this, but she was also given the titles of artist of the year, best new artist, and top R&B act.
She bagged the prize for song of the year for her hit "Escapism" featuring 070 Shake. Plus, she was hailed as songwriter of the year making her the first woman ever to receive this award.
This prize started in 2022 and notable past winners include Ed Sheeran from Suffolk and British record producer Kid Harpoon, who worked with Harry Styles on his album, Harry's House.
Raye got teary-eyed while accepting the album of the year award (her sixth of the night), saying: "You just don't understand what this means to me."
Overwhelmed by the moment, she continued: "Is this happening right now? I'm so sorry... I'm ugly crying on national television."
Caring about her art deeply, she said: "I'm so proud of this album. All I wanted was to be an artist."
She was joined on stage by her grandma Agatha whom she honoured further by revealing that her own middle name is Agatha.
Sharing her deep family bond she said : "My grandma is awake 'til 3am praying for me and my beautiful sisters."
Coming into the awards ceremony, Raye led with seven nominations, beating past records held by Craig David, Gorillaz and Robbie Williams, who each had six nominations.
The only honour that slipped through her fingers that evening was the best pop act which went to Dua Lipa.
