Rangers super subs Scott Wright and Kemar Roofe combined to inflict more late pain on 10-man Aberdeen and set up an Old Firm Viaplay Cup Final with a 2-1 win in extra time.
Bojan Miovski pounced to give Aberdeen a first half lead but former Don Ryan Jack levelled and before Anthony Stewart was sent off in stoppage time to leave his side short for extra time. There was no safety net for Rangers before half-time though as Aberdeen again sprung the trap and this time punished the Ibrox men. Borna Barisic was the fall guy as he stopped with Miovski in an offside position at Leighton Clarkson’s through ball.
But Matty Kennedy appeared from in behind to race through and square for the striker, who’d spun back onside and tucked past Allan McGregor. It was a major blow for the Light Blues, who moments early had Hawkeye ruling on a Morelos header that was saved on the line by
