Michael Beale says he's got an increased chance of getting Ryan Kent tied down on a new deal as he begins to spark into form at Rangers.
The Light Blues boss has helped the winger back into a free role in his Ibrox attack and he scored in Wednesday's 3-2 Premiership win over Kilmarnock. Kent's deal expires in six months time alongside fellow attacker Alfredo Morelos but Beale has a personal relationship with the man he spent time with at Liverpool and in his previous role as Rangers assistant.
Govan favourite Craig Moore says he can tell that Kent appears to be thriving under the new boss' guidance and Morelos is back amongst the goals too. But he tells Go Radio that it's the former Liverpool man who could now pen fresh terms amid a recent form surge. He explained: "He has been playing Morelos and what he is interested in is that's he's been able to come in and score goals, which is important.
"Kent is another player that seems to be enjoying himself now under Michael. They are two players who have made huge contributions to this team and club over the years.
"Before Michael came back, I was adamant that both Kent and Morelos would be leaving. But certainly since he has, they are both players who seem to have found some form or lifted.
"Kent in particular. I am probably now thinking that Kent more so than Morelos, there is a big opportunity to keep him, hopefully."
