'Raised by Wolves': TV Review

The new HBO Max series “Raised by Wolves” is hard to forget. Even if it turns out not to be your cup of tea, Aaron Guzikowski (“Prisoners,” “The Red Road”) and Ridley Scott‘s combined vision is one of the most original sci-fi productions in recent memory.

HBO Max series, created by Aaron Guzikowski and executive produced by Ridley Scott, premieres on Thursday, and ET has an exclusive sneak peek. The sci-fi drama centers around two androids, Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim), who are tasked with raising human children on a mysterious new planet after the Earth was destroyed by a great war.

You may not recognize Amanda Collin’s name today, but if you take the time to watch Ridley Scott and Aaron Guzikowski’s impressive new series “Raised by Wolves” you certainly won’t forget her face. Set about 150 years in the future, Collin portrays Mother, an android charged with raising an arc full of human children on a hostile alien planet.

The latest trailer for Ridley Scott‘s “Raised by Wolves” teases a holy war that ended life on Earth, and the resulting conflict between the androids raising the next generation of humans and those who want to take the children away. The trailer shows even more imagery that looks like a mix of Scott’s “Alien” prequels and “Blade Runner,” with vast, desolated planets, and silver color-coded androids.
