‘Raised By Wolves’: Aaron Guzikowski On Atheists, Androids & World Building With Ridley Scott [Interview]

Raised by Wolves yet, you're missing some of the best new sci-fi television out there. The series, from executive producer Ridley Scott, follows a pair of androids tasked with saving humanity by raising children on a distant planet after the Earth becomes uninhabitable.

Ridley Scott also executive produces via Scott Free Productions in addition to directing the first two episodes, marking his television directorial debut.

Director Rachel Lee Goldenberg has had a busy year with her adaptation of the 1983 film “Valley Girl,” as well as work on the television series “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay.” Her latest is the HBO Max film “Unpregnant” starring Haley Lu Richardson and “Euphoria’s” Barbie Ferreira. The film follows the two girls as one of them needs to travel out of state for an abortion in order to avoid telling her parents.

It appears Sir Ridley Scott is almost as deadset on making more “Alien” films as James Cameron is in his “Avatar” sequels. No matter how negative or lukewarm the response to the prequel/reboot “Prometheus” and its sequel, “Alien: Covenant,” Scott is reportedly still developing a new film in the franchise, but it looks like it will be different from what fans would expect.

You may not recognize Amanda Collin’s name today, but if you take the time to watch Ridley Scott and Aaron Guzikowski’s impressive new series “Raised by Wolves” you certainly won’t forget her face. Set about 150 years in the future, Collin portrays Mother, an android charged with raising an arc full of human children on a hostile alien planet.
