Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Korean film and TV director Kim Hong-sun has signed with U.S. talent agency Creative Arts Agency (CAA) for representation. A prolific director and producer, Kim specializes in genre television, including action, thrillers and horror.

Christina Aguilera, the pop icon known for tunes like “Genie in a Bottle” and “What a Girl Wants,” has signed with United Talent Agency for worldwide representation.

The four members of the K-Pop group BLACKPINK are seemingly setting the stage for furthering their solo careers… which they will not be doing with YG Entertainment.

Thania Garcia Blackpink — the four-piece K-pop act comprised of Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie and Rose – are no longer working with YG Entertainment for their solo endeavors, the company announced in a press release on Friday. The group will remain signed to YG Entertainment as an entity but the four women will pursue their solo careers outside of the agency.

BLACKPINK have not renewed their individual contracts with YG Entertainment.Today (December 29), YG Entertainment announced in a statement to South Korean news outlet Xsportsnews that the four members of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK – Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa – would not be renewing their individual contracts with the agency.“We have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members’] individual activities,” YG Entertainment said, as translated by Soompi. “We will do our utmost to support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts.”The news comes just days after Jennie launched her own label, Odd Atelier (OA).

G-Dragon has reportedly signed with a new agency called GALAXY Corporation.In a press release received by NME today (December 20), GALAXY Corporation announced that it will be holding a press conference tomorrow (December 21) to address G-Dragon’s recently drug investigation, as well as to detail the musician’s plans for 2024.According to Korea Daily, GALAXY Corporation is an “AI metaverse company”, and also produced Netflix’s hit reality TV series Physical: 100, alongside other shows.Last week, it was reported that South Korean police would close the investigation into G-Dragon‘s suspected drug use.
