Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest on Monday 19 September following a moving State Funeral at Westminster Abbey. Her Majesty’s final resting place was St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle where her body was reunited with her beloved husband, Prince Philip in a private ceremony featuring just the Royal Family.

The royal family came together to honor the passing of their matriarch Queen Elizabeth on Monday (September 19).

The Department for Work and Pensions has issued updated guidance on State Pension, Tax Credits and benefit payments scheduled to be made in the two days immediately after the bank holiday for the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died “peacefully” at age 96 and Britain entered 10 days of mourning to honor her 70 years of service as the head of the monarchy. A not-so-united front. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join the royal family to meet with world leaders ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on Sunday, September 18, after seemingly being uninvited.

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not. King Charles found out about his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s failing health just a few minutes before the public became aware, according to reports. Appearing on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, Newsweek's Chief Royal Correspondent Jack Royston revealed how the King was told the horrible news at his Scottish home of Dumfries House with his wife, now the Queen Consort, Camilla. Camilla had been preparing to be interviewed by Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of former US President George W.
