Queen Elizabeth II to skip Christmas trip amid omicron surge

France is on the verge of relaxing travel rules for UK passengers brought in last month.

Exactly a year after the winter 2021 Covid surge delayed post-holiday break return to production on most TV shows, the Omicron variant’s ultra wide spread is once again interrupting TV production.

Following speculation and amid an unprecedented wave of Covid infections fueled by the Omicron variant, CBS and the Recording Academy have officially put the 64th Annual Grammy Awards on hold.

A handful of series, including CBS’ Ghosts, stopped filming a few days earlier as a result of positive tests in the central Zone A, which includes the cast and those in direct interaction with them.

There will be no browsing for now at Apple’s New York City stores amid a surge in Covid-19 cases. Some one dozen locations in the city, including Fifth Avenue, SoHo, Grand Central and World Trade Center, will be temporarily closed to shoppers amid the rise in cases.

Queen Elizabeth II got quite the scare on Christmas!

A 19-year-old man bearing what police termed “an offensive weapon” was arrested Christmas morning on the grounds of Windsor Castle, the chief residence of Britain’s monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The queen was on the premises at the time, celebrating the holiday with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, according to multiple reports. The man did not enter any buildings and the queen was unharmed.
