Katy Perry has revealed she spent the night in Windsor Castle ahead of delivering a spectacular performance at the King’s Coronation concert.The US singer, 38, gave electric renditions of her hit tracks 'Roar' and 'Firework' at the celebratory event held in the grounds of the castle on Sunday evening, dedicating the latter to the King in honour of the work they do together with the British Asian Trust and their Children’s Protection Fund. Dressed in a glistening, metallic-gold, voluminous ballgown which featured a train and matching sleeves, she made a dramatic entrance by walking out singing the opening lyrics to 'Roar' as a drone projection of a lion’s head graced the sky above her.The upbeat pop song was enjoyed by Princess Charlotte who could be seen singing along with the American pop star, next to her mother the Princess of Wales, who swayed along to the song.The performance was accompanied by a dazzling light display which lit up the audience and the sky.

The episode is set to air live on Sunday at at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m.

Channel 4, which aired “Johnny English Strikes Again,” in turn brought 138,000 viewers at the same time as Saturday’s ceremony.Notably, the ceremony, which was attended by notable American and British figures alike, drew in a smaller crowd than the audience of 29 million viewers who watched the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, marking a 31% decrease in viewership when compared to the funeral.The current figures do not include viewership across livestreams on BBC’s streaming platform or YouTube.

While Harry is set to return to the UK for the first time since his surprise visit in late March for his High Court hearing, the royal could only be making a short trip.

Buckingham Palace have added a special Friday "reception" to King Charles III's Coronation weekend plans, it is claimed.  It's said the event will kick off on Friday 5th May ahead of the main Coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th, which is said to be including both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the programme despite the Duchess of Sussex staying in the US. The Friday event is said to cater for a group of VIPs, some of which won't have received an official invitation to the main event the following day.
