A three-day weekend packed with royal events is taking place, as Britain celebrates the Coronation of King Charles III.
Months of preparations will come to fruition as Charles and wife Camilla are crowned King and Queen at a historic Westminster Abbey ceremony. The Archbishop of Canterbury will conduct proceedings on Saturday, May 6, with guests including US First Lady Jill Biden and French president Emmanuel Macron.
The day will end with members of the royal family appeared on the balcony at Buckingham Palace. But the action won't stop there - community Coronation Big Lunches and a special gig at Windsor Castle are scheduled for Sunday.

Meanwhile Monday, May 8 has been declared as a bank holiday, and the monarchs are encouraging people to use the day to lend a hand in their local communities.

With crowds gathering in London from 6am, Kirsty Young presents the run-up to the historic occasion from a studio outside Buckingham Palace. She will be joined by a range of guests including friends and colleagues of the royal couple.
JJ Chalmers will chat to the men and women of the armed forces as they take their positions, while Anita Rani meets members of the public and Sophie Raworth will be outside Westminster Abbey.
