Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer watched his daughter, Karna, help United's Women's Under-21s win the 2022 Women's Super League Academy Cup final on Wednesday evening against Birmingham City.
The United youngsters beat the Blues 4-1 at St George's Park thanks to goals from Alyssa Aherne (2), Rebecca May and Keira Barry. That put the Reds 4-0 up before Birmingham got a goal back in stoppage time to deny them a clean sheet.
However, it was not enough to deny United's Women's Under-21s, who had beaten Liverpool, Chelsea and most recently Aston Villa on route to the final, the trophy. And it was a proud night for Solskjaer, who attended the contest to watch his daughter play, and lift the cup.

Whilst it was a special night for the Solskjaer family, it was also a special night for the club. The Women's Under-21s squad contains 14 graduates from United’s Regional Talent Club and they played a part on route to the final.
Speaking ahead of the game, Under-21s chief Charlotte Healy told United's club website : "They're obviously really excited, it's a cup final.
"A lot of them have been here a long time. Some of them have been here more than ten years so to represent Manchester United in a cup final is something that they're really proud of. "We've had two seasons heavily
