Out-of-sorts Marcus Rashford has been told copying Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo could save his Manchester United career, according to Frank McAvennie.
The 24-year-old was a substitute in the 4-1 defeat to Manchester City as Ralf Rangnick nameda team without a recognised forward, with both Ronaldo and Cavani injured. Rashford made his first start for a number of weeks against Tottenham on Saturday but the Manchester Evening News understands following his omission from the starting XI at the Etihad, he was contemplating his future.
United's star forward Ronaldo proved his worth once again on Saturday as he scored a hat-trick to secure the 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur and boost hopes of a top four finish. And McAvennie believes following the two veteran strikers could make an immediate impact for Rashford.

"If Rashford wants to be a striker and wants to stay at Man United, here’s what he does," he told Football Insider. "You have two of the best in the world at that club, Ronaldo and Cavani.
"Follow them around, copy everything they do. They have scored a crazy amount of goals between them.
"They are two of the best finishers I’ve ever seen. Talk to them, learn from them.
"The only way to get better is to watch and learn and take everything on board. How many players have the opportunity to work with players like that?
"It’s such a simple thing but when I see Rashford play, I don’t see a man who has been watching Ronaldo. If he is serious about wanting to stay then this is something he has to start doing right now."
