The 2024-25 film awards season continues to take shape as the Producers Guild of America reveals the date and timeline for its 36th annual PGA Awards. The 2025 ceremony is set for Saturday, February 8, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. See the full timeline below.
Nominations for Theatrical Motion Pictures, Animated Motion Pictures, Television Series/Specials and Streamed or Televised Motion Pictures will be revealed Friday, January 10. The Documentary Motion Pictures noms come out Tuesday, December 10, and the Sports, Children’s and Short Form lists hit Friday, December 13.
The PGA’s marquee film honor, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, long has been considered a strong prognosticator for the Best Picture Oscar, with 16 of the past 21 winners going on to triumph at the Academy Awards. Last year followed the trend as the PGA honored Oppenheimer, teeing Christopher Nolan’s film up for its Oscar victory two weeks later.
