Prince William's 'last-minute text' to Harry that sparked brief royal ceasefire

The drama between Princes William and Harry has been ongoing for a few years now but fans still remember the moment the brothers put their differences to the side and joined forces in the wake of the death of their late grandmother, the Queen.
It had been a while since the royal group formerly known as the ‘Fab Four’ put on a united front and fans were delighted to see a ceasefire take place during a period of great sadness for the UK, as the siblings were joined by wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle for a surprise walkabout at Windsor Castle, to meet members of the public and view the floral tributes on show.
As reports the Mirror, there were many theories at the time about how the temporary break in hostilities had come about.
But soon it was reported that Prince William had sent a last minute text to Harry, inviting him and Meghan to join the Prince and Princess of Wales, which marked the first time they had all been together publicly since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their roles as working royals in 2020.
At the time, the Daily Mail reported that William and Kate had been due to do the walkabout on their own.
A royall insider told them: “It happened very quickly – remarkable really considering they didn’t see each other in Scotland.”
The Mail also reported that it was “absolutely not the case” that their father, King Charles, had ordered his eldest son to reach out to his brother, as was previously thought.
And rumours that William had been influenced to send an invitation after hearing that Harry was planning his own walkabout with a Netflix film crew were also reported by the publication to be “complete b******s”, according to their "well-placed" source.
