The Crown returns for its final ever instalment this week. The hit Netflix drama releases its last six episodes on Thursday, December 14.
Young Prince William and Kate Middleton's relationship will be explored, including their first meeting at St Andrews University in Scotland. The pair became friends while attending the prestigious university, but Kate reportedly caught Will's eye when she posed in a sheer dress for a university fashion show.
In the 22 years since, they've got married and welcomed three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Actress Meg Bellamy portrays a young Kate in the Netflix drama, which is based on historical events, while Ed McVey portrays young Will.

“Going to St Andrews was really amazing in terms of feeling close to her,” Meg told website Netflix Tudum about playing Kate. While there, she and Ed visited the coffee shop where Kate and Will supposedly met for coffee.
“There’s an eerie sense of presence,” said Meg. “You get to see where they ran in the morning, and that day-to-day life was really helpful to inhabit when you are re-creating that.”
