Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to make their first public appearance in Hollywood to receive an award for their social justice work. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will pick up the prestigious NAACP President's Award at the ceremony in California on Sunday.
The Image Awards honour outstanding performances in film, television, theatre, music, and literature by black and minority ethnic artists. Harry and Meghan thanked the association in a joint statement: "It's a true honour to be recognised by President Derrick Johnson and the NAACP, whose efforts to propel racial justice and civil rights are as vital today as they were nearly 115 years ago."
