The celebrations marking Her Majesty's 70-year reign began on Thursday morning as she walked out onto the Buckingham Palace balcony joined by many of her family members – including her son Charles. And while the event was a joyous occasion, the Prince of Wales couldn't help but get a little emotional at watching the Trooping of the Colour flypast.
Standing next his mother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 96, Charles became visibly emotional as he watched the red arrows fly over head. He then turned to the monarch to tell her something as she beamed with delight at the events unfolding before her.

Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and their younger brother Prince Louis, four, all looked adorable as they stood by the monarch for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
While William's eldest children remained cool as they watched the flypast, George stole the show with his attire, questions and reactions to the event. Not only did he wear the same sailor suit his dad wore 38 years prior, but he was also told off by his mum Kate for sucking his thumb.
Monitoring the situation carefully, the Duchess of Cambridge wasted no time in telling her son to stop messing around, but as he walked in front of his great-grandmother, Louis started listening to her instead.
