Prince Charles and son William to pay tribute to the Queen at Platinum Jubilee concert

Prince Charles and his son Prince William will pay tribute to the Queen on Saturday night during special concert as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.The senior royals will enter the stage towards the end of the concert, which is being held outside Buckingham Palace. Members of the public will be able to attend if they were among the lucky few to grab a ticket but if you missed out then worry not as the BBC will be screening the whole event.
Coverage begins at 7.30pm on BBC One and the line up includes Queen + Adam Lambert, Alicia Keys, Hans Zimmer, Ella Eyre, Craig David, Mabel, Elbow, George Ezra, Duran Duran, Andrea Bocelli, Mimi Webb, Jax Jones, Celeste, Nile Rodgers, Sigala and Diversity. The world of sport, entertainment and film will also collide as Sir David Attenborough, Emma Raducanu, David Beckham, Stephen Fry, Dame Julie Andrews, The Royal Ballet and Ellie Simmonds will all make an appearance on stage.
There is also set to be a specially recorded performance from Sir Elton John, which will be followed by a live performance from Sam Ryder, the United Kingdom’s Eurovision hero. It is not clear whether the Queen will make an appearance at the gig due to her ongoing mobility issues.
On Friday, she chose not to attend the the Thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral as she had experienced some discomfort on the first day of celebrations on Thursday. The Duchess of Cambridge said later the Queen had enjoyed Thursday’s celebrations but the day had been "very tiring".
Diana Ross is set to close the two and a half hour show, which will be her first UK performance in 15 years. The soul legend said: "I have had the honour of meeting the Queen many times throughout my life, including when I was with my family.
