Police are appealing for information after a man trapped a woman's arm in his car door before driving off, leaving her bruised. He then attempted to drive at her, officers say.
The woman was walking with a female friend to meet a male on Corporation Street in the city centre between 3 and 3:30pm on June 8. Police say the male and the victim - who was known to him - began to talk, with her arm through the car window. The male then became 'aggressive' and rolled up the car window, trapping the victim’s arm, before driving two to three meters forward.
The victim managed to free her arm from the window and run away, but the driver is then believed to have drove towards the victim in an attempted hit and run.

The driver then reversed the vehicle towards the victim again. She has jumped out of the way, ran into a side street, and managed to escape the driver, who then fled the scene.
The victim was left with bruising to her arm.
Police are now appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to come forward. Officers say it is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the community.
The driver was seen to be driving a grey Mercedes C Class with the registration plate of BF18 UXE.
