Police in Rochdale have seized a ‘suspicious looking vehicle’ which contained a ‘large quantity of drugs, a burner phone and cash’. This came after the Syke and Healey team took a targeted approach to deal with the drug problems in the area.
Officers are now hoping to locate the owner of the vehicle and the seized items. The car, with no insurance, was seen by GMP in two locations before being abandoned.
GMP Rochdale posted on social media: “This week our Syke and Healey neighbourhood team have been conducting targeted measures to tackle drug offences in the area.

“After local patrols spotted a suspicious looking vehicle and did checks it was showing to have no insurance, the vehicle was seen in the Shawclough and Syke area and then again in the Wardleworth area and finally was abandoned in the Spotland area.
“Officers seized the vehicle under section 165 with no insurance and our eagled eyed PCSOs also ruined someone's day and located a large quantity of drugs, a burner phone, and cash. If anyone would like to collect these items, please pop into your local police station.
