Police investigating the fatal shooting of a young woman in Liverpool have released an update on their 'murder' investigation.
Ashley Dale, 28, was found fatally wounded in the back garden of a house in the Old Swan area of the city in the early hours of Sunday 21 August.
In an update issued today (August 30) Merseyside police confirmed that a man and woman arrested following the shooting have been released on bail, PA reports.

Last week, a 25-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of her murder and a 21-year-old woman, also from Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said both had been conditionally bailed to a later date, pending further inquiries. Police believe Ms Dale, a graduate who worked in the environmental health team at Knowsley Council, was not the intended victim.
Her death was one of three fatal shootings in Liverpool within a week. Nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was shot dead in her home in Dovecot on Monday, August 22, and Sam Rimmer, 22, was shot in Dingle on Tuesday August 16. Police are continuing to appeal for information on the three killings.
