Meghan Markle cancels Jimmy Fallon talkshow appearance after Queen's death

The podcast by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is to return to Spotify following the death of Queen Elizabeth. The royal's show 'Archetypes' - in which she chats with her celebrity pals - was halted in the aftermath of the monarch's passing on September 8 while the Duchess and her husband Harry, Duke of Sussex remained in the UK during the official mourning period and to attend the state funeral on September 19. New episodes of 'Archetypes' were shelved out of respect for the late Queen, but Spotify bosses have now confirmed they will continue from next week.

The Stella McCartney design -- which Meghan paired with a wide-brimmed black hat, black tights and heels — is actually a version of the same navy dress that Meghan previously wore to a televised concert at London's Royal Albert Hall for late monarch's birthday in 2018, the year that she wedPrince Harry.Of course, Meghan accessorized the look with the pearl and diamond drop earrings that Queen Elizabeth had gifted her during their first solo outing together that same year.The Princess of Wales, meanwhile, arrived to Westminster Abbey — where she and William tied the knot in 2011 -- in a  black Alexander McQueen coat dress with a black hat and veil and black suede pumps.

Meghan Markle was seen overcome with emotion as she joined members of the royal family at the State Funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on Friday.The Duchess of Sussex was seen wiping a tear from her eye in emotional pictures as the procession left Westminster Abbey for Wellington Arch while members of the royal family watched on.The Queen Consort, the Duchess of Sussex, the Princess of Wales and the Countess of Wessex were seen looking sombre as the King and his siblings marched off. Prince George and Princess Charlotte stood in front of their mother, with George looking directly at the coffin as it passed.

Meghan Markle has joined the royal family at Westminster Abbey for a final farewell to the Queen.

A not-so-united front. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join the royal family to meet with world leaders ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on Sunday, September 18, after seemingly being uninvited.

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not. Meghan Markle’s appearance on the cover of Variety as one of its "Power of Women" honorees will be postponed until a later date "out of respect" for Queen Elizabeth II following her death a week ago, the magazine tweeted Thursday.  "Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, was chosen as one of this year’s stellar honorees," the tweet said. "The Duchess’ cover will be postponed to a later date, out of respect for the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II." Variety said she would also miss the Power of Women gala in Los Angeles on Sept.

Megan Markle showed her respects to the Queen, with a deep curtsy by her coffin as she lay in state at Westminster Hall in London.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has cancelled several planned appearances in New York following the death of Queen Elizabeth. The 41-year-old royal had been scheduled to visit the UN General Assembly in Manhattan with her husband Prince Harry and appear solo on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' on September 20, but those plans have been axed as the late monarch's funeral is expected to take place on September 19.

Meghan Markle has reportedly canceled several U.S. engagements in the next couple of weeks that would clash with the likely timing of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duchess of Sussex had planned to be on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and attend the United Nations General Assembly with Prince Harry on Sept.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not leave the UK until the Queen's funeral has taken place, it has been claimed.
