The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it has launched an investigation into an alleged assault on Manchester United legend Roy Keane at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Footage circulating on social media appears to show the aftermath of the incident in which former Manchester City player Micah Richards - who was on punditry duty alongside Keane for Sky Sports during United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal - is seen restraining a man alongside an unhappy-looking Keane.
No arrests have yet been made but police enquiries are ongoing. Sky has confirmed both Richards and Keane have made statements to officers.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police are investigating following an assault that is alleged to have occurred at the Emirates Stadium during an Arsenal vs Manchester United match on Sunday, 3 September.

"There have been no arrests. Enquiries are ongoing. Any witnesses or those with information are asked to call 101 ref CAD 6961/3 Sept."
In a statement to the Daily Mail, Sky told the Daily Mail: 'We understand the police are investigating an alleged assault by a member of the public immediately preceding the footage circulating on social media. In the footage seen, Micah Richards was acting to defuse a situation.”
The Mail claims the incident occurred before the pair headed down to pitch-side to continue punditry for Sky Sports post-match.
