Reports of a ‘dead body’ on the M60 near Stretford turned out to be a man having a nap on the hard shoulder.
Police were called to junction 7 of the motorway at around 7am this morning.
It came after several people reported seeing a body at the side of the road.
On arrival, officers found a man who “decided to walk home, got a little tired and had a nap on the hard shoulder”.
