Council bosses are in the process of setting up a charitable trust for the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the Manchester Arena bombing memorial.

The trust's sole focus would be to ensure the memorial itself, and its surrounding area, are maintained and protected, the Manchester Evening News can reveal.
