Piers Morgan, known for his candid opinions, has made a dig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle concerning their forthcoming trip to Nigeria.
The pair, who decided to step down from royal duties in 2020 and move overseas, received an invitation from Nigeria's defence chief - the top military authority in the West African country, reports the Mirror.
Their visit will shortly follow Harry's solo trip back home to mark the 10th year of the Invictus Games.
The news about the royal couple's upcoming journey was shared by Vanity Fair on X, stating: "Meghan Markle will join Prince Harry on a trip to Nigeria this May, the couple's first official international tour since leaving their royal roles in 2020."
However, Morgan had a quick retort: "There's nothing 'official' about it - they're not working royals. This is precisely why their titles must be stripped."
One follower replied: "They may have been invited as private citizens, but they are not working members of the Royal Family, and therefore can never undertake an official trip again."
One added: "They're using HRH again. Palace should issue a cease and desist order."
But another was less than impressed with Piers, adding: "Piers I like you, I really do but bro, when are you gonna give it a rest? Please."
TalkTV presenter Piers has not minced his words when it comes to Meghan in the past.
The former Good Morning Britain host famously walked off set and later resigned from the ITV programme in 2021 after he expressed scepticism about Meghan's revelations regarding her mental health during her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which led to over 40,000 complaints to Ofcom.
Piers has also been vocal about his disbelief in Meghan's claims of racial abuse within the Royal Family,
