The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently shared a series of sweet photos of their daughter Princess Charlotte to mark her seventh birthday. Kate, 40, took the stunning pictures herself and she and Prince William, 39, shared them on their official joint Instagram page as they celebrated Charlotte's big day. The seven year old could be seen wearing navy trousers with a blue jumper, which was paired with a white shirt underneath.
Charlotte was surrounded by trees and flowers, including bluebells, as she grinned for the camera, and in one snap she was joined by the family's adorable pet dog. The adorable cocker spaniel is believed to have been a gift from Kate's younger brother James, 35, who previously announced that his dog Luna had welcomed six healthy puppies.
He then revealed that he wouldn't be keeping all of the puppies, as they each had "lovely homes" waiting for them. Kate and William have remained quiet about their new pet so far, but the Duchess did share a small detail about their new addition back in January. While visiting Clitheroe Community Hospital, she and William met a cockapoo named Alfie, who immediately took a liking to Kate.
The couple could be seen excitedly petting the puppy, who will be trained as a therapy dog to support patients and workers at the hospital. Kate then jokingly said: "Our dog is going to be very upset. She's going to be like, 'Where have you been?'" The Cambridges decided to welcome a new dog into their family following the death of their beloved cocker spaniel Lupo
