Peter Dinklage’s Estuary Films Strikes First-Look TV Deal With eOne

EXCLUSIVE: Producer Jessica Rhoades (Dirty John, Sharp Objects) is developing hourlong series Nice Jewish Girls for Netflix, created  by Anni Weisband (Astronomy Club). It stems from a first-look deal Rhoades signed with the streamer earlier this year for her Pacesetter Productions. Under the pact, Pacesetter will continue its mission of fostering creative voices as it works with new and established writers on projects for Netflix.

EXCLUSIVE: Sister, the independent studio founded by Elisabeth Murdoch, Stacey Snider and Jane Featherstone, has struck a first-look deal with Chris Goldberg and his Winterlight Pictures to develop and produce television and feature content. Under the pact, Goldberg will be based out of Sister Los Angeles.

Netflix and Zack Snyder have seemingly developed a solid working relationship following the successful release “Army of The Dead.” The streamer has already touted the success metrics of the Snyder zombie movie (it’s apparently one of their biggest movies), Snyder’s already produced a prequel with “Army of Thieves” and an animated prequel project “Army of The Dead: Lost Vegas,” is expected to premiere spring 2022.

Joey King, star of Netflix’s The Kissing Booth franchise, is expanding her relationship with the streaming giant with a first-look deal. Under the pact, King will produce and develop films For Netflix via her All The King’s Horses production company. At 21, King is one of the youngest creatives to strike a deal with a streaming network.
