The 50-year-old pop star shot to fame in the 1990s and became a pin-up and nightclub regular, but he has now admitted his early years in the spotlight were not good for him and it led to a mental health crisis which left him battling depression, panic attacks and agoraphobia. In an interview with The Times, Peter's pop hey day is described as including a lot of "casual sex, posing and arrogance" which he now regrets, with the 'Mysterious Girl' singer explaining: "It was an insecurity thing, trying to prove a point because of the years that you weren’t accepted.
