Perth Racecourse’s 2022 season was launched to the public this week as the venue prepares for what it hopes will be a first full calendar year with racegoers since 2019.
A bumper 15-fixture season, featuring racing favourites such as Perth Festival, Ladies Day and the Gold Cup raceday, was announced 12 weeks out from the season opener on April 20.
Priority access will be given to credit holders who have patiently waited for the return of some normality before finding a new opportunity to attend the races, after being unable to attend the fixture/s they originally bought tickets for during 2020 or 2021.
Now tickets for all 15 racedays are available to the public, which includes a complimentary racecard for all attendees and the usual offer of under 18s enjoying free entry if with a paying adult.
No alcohol can be brought on site following a policy change introduced in 2021 to “enhance the family atmosphere and comfort enjoyed by all racegoers”.
That emphasis on additional safety will be extended throughout the racecourse at all 15 fixtures with slightly reduced capacities on selected dates as the Perth Racecourse team work to ensure all racegoers can enjoy peace of mind during visits to Britain’s northernmost track.
Perth Racecourse CEO Hazel Peplinski said: “A top priority throughout the pandemic has been to safeguard the interests of our various customers whether they be racegoers, corporate guests or sponsors, as well as the owners, trainers and jockeys that provide the entertainment on the track with their horses.
“Experiencing the return of crowds last autumn reminded us why we work so hard to host our fixtures.
