A Palace spokesperson said: "Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision." The statement concluded: "The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral." Plans have been put in place in case the Queen, 96, dies while she is at Balmoral in Scotland and according to reports, these are in addition to the long established protocols already existing for 10 days of national mourning called Operation London Bridge.

The Queen's four children are all now at Balmoral as Her Majesty remains under medical supervision. Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward were summoned to Her Majesty's bedside on Thursday before a Palace statement was released stating that doctors were "concerned".
