The wait is over for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Disney has launched the first two episodes of the series earlier than expected. Audiences can watch the episodes beginning at 6 p.m. PT on December 19 on Disney+. The first episode is also available on Hulu.
And that’s not all — subsequent episodes will roll out weekly on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. PT through the finale on January 30.
Percy Jackson was originally slated to debut on December 20 with subsequent episodes available on Wednesdays.
“We’re so grateful for the amazing and dedicated Percy Jackson fans who have enthusiastically supported this project from the very beginning. They’ve been counting down the days, and as a special thank you, we wanted to let our fans enjoy the first two episodes a bit earlier than expected,” Pamela Levine, head of marketing, Disney Branded Television and National Geographic Content, said in a statement.
In the series, Percy Jackson must journey across America, outrunning monsters and outwitting gods, to return Zeus’ master bolt and stop an all-out war. With the help of his quest mates Annabeth and Grover, Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, and find out who he’s destined to be.
The show stars Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.
