Pep Guardiola said he was upset by a video showing three of his stars on a Manchester night out - because he was not invited!
The Manchester City boss has seen a video that claims to show Jack Grealish being turned away from a bar for being too drunk - a claim that City have refuted.
Grealish is seen following Riyad Mahrez and Kyle Walker away from the bar as a crowd looks on, with the video maker claiming he had been refused entry for being too heavily under the influence.
City say the issue was a misunderstanding with staff that caused the three players to leave the bar, and said there will be no action taken as they have not broken any rules.
That followed Guardiola's warning to his players pre-Christmas, when he made it plain that he expected high standards from his squad when it came to protecting against the spread of Covid and protecting their bubble, when Grealish and Phil Foden were dropped for turning up for training the worse for wear after a night out.
Asked about the latest incident, Guardiola said: "I'm so upset because they didn't invite me! The video didn't show what did or didn't happen.
"All of them were perfect, but they will be fined because they didn't invite me."
Asked if they had been unfairly treated, he said: "In this case, yeah".
The video was taken after City had beaten Fulham 4-1 in the FA Cup, so the players were not in breach of club rules. They face Brentford at home as the Premier League resumes tomorrow night following a break of more than a fortnight.
