Paul Wesley is showing his support for William Shatner!
The pair posed together at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 at Theatre Box on Thursday (July 21) in San Diego, Calif.
William, who originated the role of Captain Kirk on Star Trek: The Original Series in the 1960s, was honored with a special handprint ceremony at the event.
Paul plays Captain Kirk in Paramount+’s spinoff series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and came out to support the 91-year-old actor.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is “based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series follows Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock and Number One in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.” The series is currently streaming on Paramount+.

San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made several major updates about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to outlining the end of Phase 4 and sharing the full lineup for Phase 5, Feige also revealed plans for Phase 6, which will kick off with in 2024 before ending with two new Avengers films, and, in 2025. Additionally, the films and TV series released during Phases 4 through 6 would collectively be known as the Multiverse Saga. While this was Feige’s first in-person appearance at Comic-Con since 2019, fans weren’t expecting for so much to be revealed, especially considering that the last time he only announced new film and TV installments for Phase 4.
