Paul O'Grady's heartbroken daughter Sharyn Mousley arrived to his funeral on Thursday with her son, who carried the late TV star's iconic Lily Savage wig, in emotional scenes. Sharyn, 48, who is Paul's only child, looked visibly upset as she arrived at St Rumwold's Church in Aldington, Kent for her beloved father's funeral, following his death on 28 March.
She was accompanied by a young man, who is believed to be her son, who could be seen carrying Lily Savage's iconic bleach blonde wig in his hands as they made their way to the church. The mum of two had earlier left a heartbreaking note outside the church, where dozens of personal tributes had been attached to wreaths of lilies ahead of Paul's private funeral service.
Sharyn emotionally wrote in her note: “Gongan, we miss you so much, Abel and Halo will never forget you. Your little teddy is with you.
I love you.” Paul was laid to rest in a private ceremony preceded by a procession that the public were encouraged to attend. The funeral procession moved through the Kent village where he lived. The late TV star's husband Andre, 41, invited fans of Paul to attend the funeral, as he announced: "While the funeral will be a private ceremony, as many of you know, Paul cared a lot about his local community." He added: "We have therefore requested that the funeral procession passes through Aldington before heading to the church, as a way of marking Paul's affection for the area. "We would therefore like to invite all locals to join us in paying our respects to Paul in Aldington Village between 14:10 - 14:45 on Thursday." The funeral saw dogs from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home serving as guards of honour throughout the service and featured a performance by the Salvation Army Band,
