EastEnders stars Cheryl Fergison and Linda Henry led the celebrity arrivals at Paul O'Grady's funeral on Thursday as a host of famous faces turned up to mourn their late friend. Comedian Jo, 65, dressed in all black with a bandana as she paid her respects to Paul, who died unexpectedly at home at the age of 67, alongside ex-EastEnders star Cheryl, 57. Linda Henry – who is known for playing Shirley on EastEnders – was also early to arrive, as she looked deep in thought as she sported a black fedora and button down tailored coat.
Former co-stars Linda, 63, and Cheryl were guests together on Paul's self-titled show The Paul O'Grady Show in 2011 and are thought to have been good friends with the late host. Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood, 75, was spotted ahead of the funeral and looked to be being supported by his wife, Sally. Meanwhile, presenter Gaby Roslin, 58, attended the ceremony solo and looked downbeat as she made her way to the church in a black coat with a pair of black sunglasses.
Gaby paid tribute to her friend Paul on Instagram last month, writing: "Unbelievably sad news to wake up to. Paul you really were a one off. There will never be anyone quite like Paul.
"Goodness me we laughed together so much. Our chats lasted for hours and I know he’ll be up there now nattering away and keeping everyone laughing. "Personal notes were left outside the church attached to wreaths of lilies ahead of his private funeral service.
A note from his “heartbroken” sister Sheila, Pete and Helen said: “Dear Paul, beloved and loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will love, remember and miss you forever. Rest in peace.
