Taika Waititi is the latest celebrity to read a children's book for charity, and he's calling in every single favor he has to make it happen. In a new series, Waititi and his "friends" ("When I say I'm gonna be joined by friends, I think I just mean celebrities," he admits in the trailer) will read the classic Roald Dahl novel, James and the Giant Peach, to benefit Partners in Health.

The virtual show will feature a star-studded lineup with appearances by Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Dolly Parton, Diane Keaton, Jon Bon Jovi, Stephen Colbert, Dionne Warwick, Stephanie J.

It was announced on Wednesday that Tony winner Audra McDonald — a longtime supporter of the Covenant House — is set to host a one-night only benefit concert that will support the nonprofit's COVID-19 relief efforts. The event — titled A Night of Covenant House Stars — will be livestreamed May 18 at 8 p.m.

Jon Bon Jovi, Dolly Parton, Meryl Streep, and other big names are set to perform for "A Night Of Covenant House Stars," a live stream concert benefiting the Covenant House charity. Hosted by Broadway veteran Audra McDonald and 60 Minutes anchor John Dickerson, the show will air on May 18 at 8:00 p.m.

The 70-year-old actress caught up with her friends Christine Baranski and Audra McDonald and it seems like the most fun reunion of the year! The three ladies wore bathrobes and raised a glass of Martini to their friendship as they sang 'The Ladies Who Lunch' from Stephen Sondheim's musical, Company, in order to honour the Broadway legend on his 90th birthday.

The trio also were seen imbibing on wine and other libations during their performance of the song from Sondeim's Company.
