Paramount+ is expanding its global Korean content slate with three new series produced through its partnership with Korea’s CJ ENM.
The three titles – Dongjae, The Good Or The Bastard, Dreaming Of Cinde Fxxxing Rella and Pyramid Game – will launch exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. They will also be licensed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
Produced by Studio Dragon and Ace Factory, Dongjae, The Good Or The Bastard is a spin-off of thriller series Stranger, revolving around one of the series’ characters, a lawyer called Seo Dongjae. In the spin-off series, he takes on the murder case of a high school girl and is conflicted between his intuition as a prosecutor and his instinct as an opportunist.
Starring Lee Jun Hyuk, the series is created by Lee Su-yeon, directed by Park Gun Ho and written by Hwang Hajung and Kim Sangwon.
Dreaming Of Cinde Fxxxing Rella is a hybrid romantic comedy created by Baek Mi-kyoung (Strong Girl Bong-soon, The Lady In Dignity) about a woman meeting her “Prince Charming” who doesn’t believe in love.
Starring Pyo Ye-jin and Lee Jun-young, the series is directed by Kim Min-kyeong, written by Yu-ja, and produced by CJ ENM, Story Phoenix and KeyEast.
Pyramid Game, created by JQ Lee, directed by Bak So Yeon and written by Choi Sui, is the story of a school girl who has to escape being bullied and become a “sniper” to end a violent high school game.
Thes series is produced by Film Monster and CJ ENM Studios. Kim Jiyeon heads the cast, which also includes Jang Da A, Ryu Da In, Kang Na Eon, Jeong Ha Dam, Shin Seul Ki and Yulli.A
