Caitriona was talking to TotalFilm.com when she spoke about the skills she has learned since appearing on screen.
She confessed: "Horse Riding. I pretended I cold ride a horse before I got Outlander but now I think I":m a pretty good horse rider. I love it."
Fans of the show know Caitriona has been filmed many times alongside Sam Heughan on a horse.
Caitriona also said she experienced the 'worst mud bath I've ever seen' during season one of Outlander during December.
She recalled : "One day it just rained constantly. We were doing a shoot where I had to get up on a horse. I was soaked. I was freezing. I remember the director saying he wanted me to shiver. I was literally shaking, "This is not me acting."
Caitriona also revealed she liked one of the nighties her character Claire Fraser on Outlander wore so much that she bought a carbon copy of it for herself.
She laughed: "Now it just sits pristine in this cover, and I've never worn it."
