Outlander'sCaitriona Balfe made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her new film 'Belfast'.
However, the conversation couldn't stick to her new film for long as she was pressed for details about the highly anticipated upcoming sixth season of Outlander.
Caitriona, 42, told the talk show host about the time she was under general anaesthetic and was so scared she'd spill some top secret info about the show.
Caitriona plays Claire Fraser on the hit Starz show, alongside her on screen husband Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan, 41, from Dumfries.
She admitted on the show that she was concerned her doctor may try to extract secrets while she was under anaesthesia not so long ago. She said: "There can be interesting moments, I'd say.
"I recently had to undergo anaesthesia because I had to have dental surgery. I get to the place and the anaesthesiologist comes in and she had an Outlander mug and was like, 'I'm your biggest fan!' And I was like, 'Oh this is good, she's really going to take care of me,'" she remembered.
"But then, we went in and she was telling me how she was going to put me under and was asking me questions about the series and what was going to happen.
"And I was like, 'I'm not supposed to tell you stuff!' Then, when she injected me and I was lulling off, she started to sing the theme tune. I was like, 'Nooo!'"
The Irish beauty described the moment as one of her "stranger interactions" she has had with a fan, and joked that she had been imagining a scenario where she "was going to be in her basement with all the Jamie posters everywhere."
The sixth installment of Outlander will air March 6, 2022 on Starz.

Despite everything that is happening, the willingness and desire to be part of the festival on the part of production companies, sellers, actors and directors is very strong. I was even moved a couple of weeks ago when they told me that Paolo Taviani, who is 91, really wants to come at any cost. I think filmmakers are pining to be reconnected [with audiences] and the Berlinale even more than other festivals gives that sense, because you are at the center of a city.
