Outlander fans all saying same thing as 'Castle Leoch' used for new smash hit period drama

Outlander fans have been having a bittersweet time of it of late after the announcement of the second part of season seven. As we've reported, the show's loyal fanbase was left divided after the show announced that part 2 of season seven would be returning in November.
Alongside a series of behind the scenes snaps, a statement on the official account wrote: "Just some of our faves behind-the-scenes during production of Season 7, Part 2. #Outlander officially returns this November on STARZ."
But some fans weren't happy that the air date is so far away after speculation the season would be screened this spring, with many saying it feels like a new season all together than a second part.
One penned: "November for 7b?!?!?! That’s SO disappointing. To promote a super-sized S7 then give us the 2nd half of it 15 months later."
Another said: "NOVEMBER??? That’s not the second part of season 7, that is more than a year between 7A and 7B!!! That’s a completely different season at this point. That didn’t happen with the season 1 break, that was only a few months!!!"
But with news this week that season eight is now filming - with leading Scots star Sam Heughan who plays Highland warrior Jamie Fraser exciting fans with an update on his social media that fan favourites Lauren Lyle and César Domboy are returning - everyone was feeling a bit more optimistic about things.
And in a bid to cheer them up further, Starz revealed they could find a familiar setting to ease their Droughtlander blues by giving new Sky show Mary and George a watch, as it's filmed at Doune Castle, which all die-hards will know doubles up as Outlander's Castle Leoch.
