After Little Mix went on hiatus back in 2022, Perrie Edwards has finally kick started her highly-anticipated solo career with the launch of her new single Forget About Us. As part of the single’s launch, 30 year old Perrie has been doing plenty of promo – including a surprising radio segment which saw her speak to Cheryl and Liam Payne ’s son Bear while on air. While appearing on Greg James’ BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Friday, 12 April, the Wings singer played a game of ‘Sitting or Standing’ where she had to call her contacts and guess whether they were on the phone while sitting down or standing up.
As part of the game, Perrie, who recently revealed that she's never lived with partner of eight years Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, chose to call up Cheryl, though much to her surprise it wasn’t actually the Fight For This Love singer who answered the phone. Instead, as she called the former Girls Aloud star’s number, it was her seven year old son Bear who picked up the phone and ended up accidentally playing the game with Greg and Perrie. After starring on the show, doting mum Cheryl took to the phone as she expressed her surprise over the situation.
“This is really random, how are you?,” she told the pair, before explaining that her son had been enjoying his newfound fame. “Bear is saying ‘this is my first time on radio now everybody knows me’,” she added. In response to the adorable segment, fans took to social media to discuss the interaction and some made some observations about his accent.
