The trek will include a record-setting eight-night residency at Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall that kicks off on Oct. 24 and ends on Nov. 2. He will additionally play Miami’s III Points festival on Oct. 20 and deliver three back-to-back sets in New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, another first for the venue. “We’ve had some of the most beautiful times ever here,” the electronic DJ and producer stated in the caption of his U.S. tour announcement on social media. “As I said in the last post I do jus [sic] wanna say that I do very much wanna come back to lots of other cities down the line. But right now for the type of things I want to try wit [sic] the show and musically it made most sense to set up in one venue for more shows rather than moving about.”

Elton John has revealed that he has developed a “brand new show” for his set at Glastonbury 2023.The singer-songwriter announced the update in a new interview with BBC Radio One — where he admitted that he has already planned for the upcoming set to be unlike any of his past performances.He is set to take to the stage on Sunday for the final night of the 2023 instalment (June 25), and will perform on the Pyramid Stage as part of the music icon slot. The gig will also mark the final date of his mammoth Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which has spanned over 350 dates across the course of five years.Originally, the farewell tour was set to draw to a close in 2021 — allowing the now-76-year-old to spend more time with his family — however, this was later rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and later by a hip injury he sustained last year.Now, according to the new interview, it seems that the ‘Rocketman’ singer is looking to end his live shows with a bang, and has planned for the Sunday set to feel like a “brand new show”.“I’m starting with a song I haven’t played for about 10 years, so we’ll see how it goes,” he began.

Today, Outfest announced the Opening and Closing Night gala film selections for the 41st edition of the Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Film Festival, taking place from July 13 – 23 in Los Angeles, presented by Warner Bros. Discovery and Genesis Motor America. The festival will open with Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, directed by Aitch Alberto, and the 11-day event will close with Chasing Chasing Amy, directed by Sav Rodgers. The Opening Night Gala will screen at the Orpheum Theatre, with the Closing Night Gala screening at The Montalbán Theatre.
