Whew. Honestly, we were getting worried for a minute. But Amazon Studios has announced a second season for “Outer Range,” the sci-fi western that stars Josh Brolin, Lili Taylor and Imogen Poots.
The first season debuted on Prime Video earlier this year. Charles Murray, whose credits include “Sons of Anarchy” and Marvel’s “Luke Cage” (he has an overall deal with Amazon Studios), will come aboard as showrunner and executive producer for season 2. The show was created and largely written by Brian Watkins.Royal Abbott (Brolin) is a farmer in rural Wyoming who notices, one day, a giant mysterious sinkhole on his property.
The hole seemingly has no bottom, and it exhibits other strange properties, enough to pique the interest of Abbott’s overzealous neighbor Wayne Tillerson (Will Patton). While Abbott tries to keep the hole a secret, the arrival of a young hippie woman on his land (Poots) further complicates matters. The less you know about the series the better; just throw it on and be enveloped.

report from the New York Post.Barkley’s current contract with the NBA broadcaster — which pays him $10 million per season — still has three years left, ending after the 2024-25 season and overlapping with TNT’s broadcast agreement with the league. If Barkley fulfills his entire current contract, he would be looking at making over $100 million, approaching $200 million, but the exact amount is not yet known. In the case that Turner Broadcasting doesn’t keep the NBA, Barkley could also own rights to employment for other digital platforms or networks, especially if Amazon, Apple or other tech giants are involved.
