'Our Lenny was cruelly taken from us and we don’t understand why'

Heartbreaking tributes have been paid to a former prison and RAF worker who has been described as "a big lad with a big heart" after he was shot outside a gym.
Lenny Scott from Prescot, was on Peel Road, Skelmersdale, at around 7.35pm on the night of February 8 when he was shot. The 33-year-old was taken to hospital with severe injuries which he later succumbed to, the Liverpool Echo reports.
A murder investigation was launched and a 25-year-old man from Kensington in Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, February 11 and remains in custody.

A G4S spokesperson confirmed that Lenny, also known as John, had worked at HMP Altcourse when G4S ran the prison. Since his death, hundreds of tributes have been left for him on social media.
Beckie Louise Dunleavy said: "Devastated. Can’t believe there is still scumbags on the streets with guns! You had your whole life ahead of you John and you were the kindest soul. Goodnight, God bless."
Joseph Anderson recalled the time he met Lenny: "Only got to meet this gent once but a lot of people I respect speak fondly of him." Nikki Brown said: "Went to college with Lenny, so very sad to hear this!"
Christina Corder, who worked with the 33-year-old, said: "So sad, thinking of your children. Had some of the funniest laughs with you in work."
Jamie Freeman praised Lenny, saying: "What an absolute belter of a lad John was. Big lad with a big heart. Will be sadly missed."
Lenny's family today also shared a tribute to the 33-year-old, describing him as someone who "always wanted to make a difference".
