Oscars 2020 was definitely a memorable night for Team Parasite, especially for the captain of the ship, Bong Joon-ho, as his film made Oscars history by being the first non-English language movie to win the prestigious Best Picture Academy Award. Furthermore, Parasite took home the Oscar for International Feature Film, Directing for Bong and Original Screenplay for Bong and Kwak Sin-ae.

While Oscars 2020 featured a number of eyebrow raising and jaw-dropping moments, the 92nd Academy Awards ended up hitting an all-time low in the rating department. The Academy made history this year by giving away four of its most prestigious awards to a non-English-language film Parasite.

The Oscars is always one of the glitziest evens on the showbiz calendar, and the 2020 ceremony will certainly go down as one of the best. Parasite became the first foreign language film ever to pick up the Best Film gong and Brad Pitt came top as Best Supporting Actor for his role in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.

Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Camila Morrone finally made their first public appearance and debut as a couple at the Academy Awards 2020 and it was a sight for sour eyes! It is an important night for Leo, who is nominated for the Best Actor category for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and he decided to bring lady love to the ceremony. The moment is extra special because the actor rarely brings a date to award ceremonies.

Sunday’s Oscars ceremony had the biggest names in Hollywood take the stage to be recognized for their contribution in last year’s best films. Golden statuettes were handed out in 24 categories including Best Picture, Best Actress and, of course, Best Actor, for which Antonio Banderas received a nomination for his performance in Pedro Almodóvar film Pain and Glory.

Oscars 2020 has begun on a great note as Brad Pitt bagged his first-ever Academy Award for acting. Pitt won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

Nine films have been nominated for Best Picture. This includes Parasite, 1917, Jo Jo Rabbit, Joker, Ford v Ferrari, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Marriage Story and Little Women. While several bets are placed on Parasite taking home the Academy Award for Best Picture this year, there are also predictions that 1917 and Joker stand a chance to win the Best Picture award. The actor's act in the Quentin Tarantino directorial has helped him bag a nomination at the 92nd Academy Awards. The actor is up against Al Pacino, Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins and Joe Pesci.
