AMC Networks has set a summer premiere date for the Krysten Ritter-led Orphan Black: Echoes, an original series set in the world of Orphan Black. The spinoff will premiere Sunday, June 23 on AMC, AMC+ and BBC America.
Created by Anna Fishko, set in the near future, Orphan Black: Echoes takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal. Ritter plays Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world.
Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix, Avan Jogia, Rya Kihlstedt and James Hiroyuki Liao also star.
Fishko serves as creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer with original series co-creator John Fawcett as director and executive producer. David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, executive producers from Boat Rocker on the original series, return as executive producers on Echoes. Boat Rocker’s Nick Nantell and Kerry Appleyard will also executive produce, in addition to Katie O’Connell Marsh.
Boat Rocker manages the Orphan Black global franchise, including content distribution and consumer products.
Produced by Boat Rocker, and starring Emmy winner Tatiana Maslany in multiple roles, Orphan Black became a cult phenomenon with a passionate fanbase known as the “Clone Club.” All five seasons of the original series are available on AMC+.

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from “Orphan Black: Echoes,” the series spin-off of AMC’s hit series, “Orphan Black,” which ran for five seasons between 2013 and 2017 and turned Tatiana Maslany into a star. Last we heard, “Orphan Black: Echoes” had a TBD 2024 date, but recently, a new trailer revealed a June 23, 2024 release date on AMC.

Selena Kuznikov The documentary “Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution” is set to premiere globally on June 18 on Netflix. The feature-length documentary, the first of its kind to address this topic, examines the history of queer stand-up comedy as — according to its logline — “an instrument for social change over the past five decades, actively reflecting and challenging cultural norms and values.” The film combines stand-up performances and talking head interviews, as well as archival materials featuring LGBTQ+ comedians, and includes Lily Tomlin, Sandra Bernhard, Wanda Sykes, Suzy Izzard, Hannah Gadsby, Tig Notaro, Rosie O’Donnell, Margaret Cho, Bob The Drag Queen and Trixie Mattel.
Paramount+ announced on Thursday morning that its Bob Marley biopic Bob Marley: One Love, starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, will begin streaming on the platform in the U.S. and Canada beginning Friday, April 12, with information as to the film’s availability in additional markets to be announced at a later date.

Masters” event features the six highest-ranked current “Jeopardy!” contestants battling it out in two games per hourlong episode. “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings also hosts “Jeopardy! Masters.” Contestants on this tournament include “Jeopardy! Masters” 2023 champion James Holzhauer, as well as returning contestants Matt Amodio and Mattea Roach, and newcomers Yogesh Raut and Victoria Groce.
Land of Women, the six-episode dramedy series from Apple TV+ executive produced by and starring Eva Longoria, will have its global premiere June 26 when the streamer drops the first two episodes. New episodes will follow one per week on Wednesdays.
UPDATE APRIL 8: Prime Video has moved up the premiere of its high-profile new drama series Fallout, from Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, based on the worldwide best-selling retro-futuristic video game franchise. All eight episodes of the post-apocalyptic series will premiere April 10 at at 6 PM PT. The surprise drop was revealed in a new Fallout ad that aired during Monday’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Game. The drama had previously been slated for April 12 debut.
