Disgraced Prince Andrew is in the spotlight in an upcoming Netflix movie. Called “Scoop,” the movie is a dramatization of Andrew’s notorious November 2019 BBC interview about his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in August that same year of an apparent suicide.

Prince Andrew's shocking comments during his infamous Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis left everyone, including the staff working behind the scenes, stunned. The Duke of York made some extraordinary claims in the 2019 TV exclusive, from his inability to sweat to denying he had slept with Virginia Giuffre because he was at Pizza Express in Woking at the time.

drama “Scoop” hit Netflix on Friday.The film is a fictionalized portrayal of BBC reporter Emily Maitlis (played by Gillian Anderson), who interviewed Andrew for a “Nightsnight” segment in 2019 about his friendship with dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.Andrew was seen out and about at Windsor Castle riding his horse during his outing. He wore a helmet, gloves, a sweater and an olive jacket to brave the cold weather.Rufus Sewell plays Andrew in “Scoop,” while Keeley Hawes was cast as the royal’s private secretary Amanda Thirsk and Billie Piper as TV producer Sam McAlister.The movie also reveals how Maitlis booked the disastrous interview, which showed Andrew sweating as he denied that he had sexual relations with Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts when she was a teenager in the early 2000s.In 2022, Andrew was stripped of his royal and military titles by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, after Roberts brought forward a lawsuit against him and claimed he sexually abused her.

Production has begun on Netflix’s Scoop, the feature project that provides an inside account of the road to BBC Newsnight’s bombshell 2019 interview with Prince Andrew about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Gillian Anderson has joined the investigative drama as Emily Maitlis, the former lead presenter of Newsnight who conducted the now infamous exchange. Rufus Sewell will play the disgraced royal.

Bodyguard star Keeley Hawes takes center-stage in new BBC drama Crossfire, in which she plays Jo – a character whose world is turned upside down when a terrorist attack takes place during at her holiday resort. The three-part series sees, which Keeley described as an ‘uncomfortable watch’, sees her character at the heart of the action, which the 46-year-old admitted was a different role for her, despite having starred in previous action thrillers including Line of Duty and Honour. While Jo has to save her family and play the hero, that involved physically exhausting tasks like lugging guns around, leading Keeley to describe it as her most ‘taxing’ yet.

Yossman Banijay Rights has set a new returning drama series titled “Runners” with writer John Preston (pictured above, left) and exec producer Ellie Wood (pictured above, right) of Clearwood Films, the team behind “Stonehouse” and “The Dig.” “Runners” tells the story of the world’s first police force, the Bow Street Runners, who were formed in the 1740s in London, which at the time was facing a colossal crime wave. The Chief Magistrate of London at the time, Heny Fielding (who also happened to be a celebrated novelist), decided to take on this criminal underworld by assembling a group of police.“This extraordinary story will tell of how a group of just six police officers, none with any training or experience, set about imposing law and order on a completely lawless society and embarked on solving one of the strangest cases of its time – one with momentous political and social ramifications,” reads the logline.

Line of Duty star Keeley Hawes and her husband, Succession's Matthew Macfadyen, will next be seen in an ITV series together. The real-life couple will play opposite each other in three-part drama Stonehouse, retelling the bizarre story of the disgraced Labour minister (Macfadyen), John Stonehouse, who faked his own death in 1974, leaving his wife (Hawes) and children behind. Having been married for 18 years sure adds authenticity to Hawes and Macfadyen's performances, with the Bodyguard star saying it was "a joy" to work with her husband again.

Damian Lewis has remembered his late wife Helen McCrory, saying she is “much, much missed”. Acclaimed actress McCrory died in April 2021 aged 52 following a battle with cancer.
