After being forced to miss the Loose Women Christmas party, Olivia Attwood Dack has revealed she had to undergo a procedure to remove a cyst from underneath her eyelid. The former Love Island star, 32, took to Instagram on Thursday, 21 December to unveil her injury after showing off an eye patch just days prior. Olivia addressed her 2.1 million followers in the clip, where she explained what had happened to her eye.
She told fans she was feeling "fine" but had recently had an operation to remove a cyst from her eyelid. "So the patch is off and everything's fine," Olivia said. "Thank you for all your messages, I know I look very dramatic - essentially I had a little cyst on the inside of my eyelid." Olivia went on to say that she had a video of the procedure but it was "too graphic" for social media.
She added: "There's a proper name for it but I can't remember what it is. Basically, they flipped my eyelid inside out and cut it off.
There is a video but it's too graphic for Instagram." She removed her eye patch to show off a small purple mark on the top of her eyelid. Olivia also thanked her doctor for helping her, writing: "Have to laugh.
Thank you for coming to my rescue," before tagging her doctor.
Olivia had first unveiled her eye injury earlier in the week, as she revealed she wouldn't be attending the Loose Women Christmas lunch due to it. She shared a selfie, showing her eye bandaged up, and announced: "Was meant to be off to @loosewomen Christmas lunch... but my eye had other ideas." Olivia joined the Loose Women panel earlier this year and is now a regular on the TV show.
